Xiaomi launches MI Music in India

Hey readers, How many of you people are music addicts? If you people are music addicts then, there’s a new app in the market to have a try at. Recently, Xiaomi launched Mi Music app in India. Seems like, this is going to compete Wynk, Google Play Music, Saavan. So, readers let’s jump to the discussion.

Music streaming in Mi Music is powered by Hungama Play. Moreover, this app provides choices in different Indian languages like Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada etc. This app provides 10 million audio tracks for streaming. Online streaming is free of cost whereas, the user has to pay an amount of 899 INR per year for offline playback.

Mi Music comes with an interesting feature of Dynamic lyrics. The user can view the lyrics of the currently playing track. In addition to that, the user can skip to his/her favourite lyrics in the dynamic lyrics feature. Seems interesting right?

Mi Music review :

The UI of Mi Music app is decent but we can expect improvements in the coming updates. My music window is the home window in this app. The user can see his/her offline music tracks in this window. Online music window is on the right of the home window. Swiping right o home window takes the user to the online music window.

Besides, user Profile (account) is on the left of the home window. The user can see the option of upgrading to PRO in this window.

Mi Music seems to be good but, in order to compete Wynk, Gaana, Saavn Xiaomi has to improve its music app in the next updates. As of now, this app is only available on Mi Apps.

Mi Video :

Xiaomi has also launched a video streaming app Mi Video along with Mi Music. The users have to wait until next week to get a stable version of this app on Mi Apps. Xiaomi says Mi Video offers a content of 5,00,000 hours of which 80 percent will be free. Hungama Play, Sony LIV and Voot are the content partners of Mi Video. Xiaomi promises to increase its content partners (Zee5, Hotstar) in the coming days.

Xiaomi is now concentrating more on apps and software. In fact, Xiaomi is now spreading its roots into every field of Tech. Xiaomi has been the top smartphone seller of the  Q1 2018. In addition to that, MI TV has been a big hit. Now, It has launched two apps for Audio and Video streaming. Can’t wait to see what other things that Xiaomi is planning to release.
